Despite the current health crisis, ER2i’s turnkey activity has remained uninterrupted, as illustrated by the BAYER GIDC worksite in Gaillard (Haute-Savoie). This project was started in November 2019 and managed to get swiftly back on track after a brief site closure during March 2020.
The BAYER GIDC project consists of the complete refurbishment of 1,900 m² of chemical laboratories. This also includes replacing all the technical facilities and laboratory equipment: air dryers, refrigeration unit, fresh air handling unit, fume cupboards, lab tables, etc.
The site has also included the construction of 400m² of technical extensions that have already been built and will accommodate the facilities required for the building’s new functions: an effluent neutralization station, ultra-pure water production and a technical maintenance workshop for pharmaceutical process equipment.Of the 3 phases planned for the final handover of the site in April 2021, two have already been delivered: the first in July 2020 and the second in mid-October 2020, in accordance with the contractual schedule and in compliance with the ongoing occupation of the premises by the Bayer teams.
